I’m sad to report that I think this isn’t true: Article on Sony’s Root Kit.
For those that are keeping score, that’s 1 for MacOS, and 82,812,378,234,923 for Windows.

I didn’t read the full Macintouch report, but did the Sony-installed DRM work the same way on Mac OS X as on Windows? As I understand it on Windows it was basically a root kit. Was this true on Macs? If so, you’re right, but this is the first time this has happened.
And any sensible person refuses EULAs on music CDs.
