WordPress Steals The Show

I converted both newburyportion and nerd to WordPress this weekend. Everything went almost flawlessly.

I’m really excited about some of the new features I’m able to take advantage of, however, the permalinks aren’t quite as nice as the ones I had with MovableType, and the post editing process is a little weird when you add MarkDown.

I still haven’t converted our photography section, but I think that’s going to wind up using Flickr. There seems to be good plugin support for Flickr.

I still don’t like PHP, but then again I didn’t like Perl and I ran Movable Type for a long time.

Welcome to wordpress then.. (ok, this is already a few days since..). I did change to wordpress a few months ago and it still feels good. Wordpress does have this “open source” feeling with it. And, php.. guess you’re programming in python..?

Can anyone comment on whether it is possible to install WP blog on a php built website? My designer has gone AWOL, and as you may have guessed, i am a complete fool when it comes to coding, so i was hoping someone with a WP blog already may be able to comment?
wish to hell i did my site in html if the answer’s no!!
Thanks
Joey

Joey, you’ll get better luck on the WordPress Web site than here.
